In the world of portable vaporizers there seems to be a trend among production companies to try and design smaller and cheaper devices. This has resulted in a wide range of products: some good, some pretty awful.

Atmos has broken into the industry with a few of its products, but it is the new Atmos A-Pen that has drawn our attention. The device runs for about $80 and consists of a simple body along with a bevy of extras including a USB charger and a carrying case.

In terms of build quality, we were quite surprised as to just how simple the Atmos A-Pen Vaporizer really is. The thing has its tank cartridge (which you put your oil in), a cover, a mouthpiece that screws onto the cover, and a clip on top. That’s it. There is literally nothing more to it. When fully assembled we think the thing resembles a bit thicker model of the electronic cigarettes that you see on the market nowadays.

In terms of vapor quality, we were impressed by what we experienced with the Atmos A-Pen Vaporizer. As long as you don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are getting a world class device, you will more than likely be happy with what the A-Pen has to provide you with. We found the vapor produced by this unit to be relatively strong with a smoothness to it that we usually see in more refined (expensive) brands. We didn’t get more than a couple of hits out of this thing, but for a portable device, we can definitely live with that.

Overall, we can say that the Atmos A-Pen Vaporizer is a quality device that will serve both newbies and those looking for an extra device well. The overall quality of the product is good, and the vapor is more than adequate, if not a little light in the number of hits that you can draw off of this device.

For $80 you can definitely do a lot worse.
